A wide, 12-inch deep stripe in the middle of the playing field is blocked by minefields and tank locks. Setup: The mine belt is 12 inches deep and runs across the center of the table. It is divided into 4 sectors of equal width. Heavy units are size 3–4 units (AS) or 60 tons and above (CBT).

- At the end of Round 8, at most 2 heavy attacker units have broken through.
Victory conditions
- Game length: 8 rounds. Objectives are checked at the end of the final round unless stated otherwise.
- Primary objective completed: 3 victory points (VP). Secondary objective completed: 1 VP.
- Immediate victory: If one side is completely destroyed or has withdrawn, the other side wins immediately.
- Result: Lead of 2+ VP = Decisive Victory · 1 VP = Narrow Victory · Tie = Draw.
Special rules
Minefield Mechanics
Entering an uncleared mine sector deals automatic damage to legs/running gear and requires control rolls.
Engineer Clearance
Units with mine-clearing equipment (MDS/engineers) or infantry in cover can safely clear one minefield square within 1 round.
Mine Damage
A unit entering an uncleared sector takes 2 damage (AS) or 10 damage to its legs or running gear (CBT).
